On her visit to Mongolia, the President is being accompanied by a business delegation, including representatives of SPIRIT Slovenia (the Slovenian Public Agency for Investment, Entrepreneurship and Internationalization) and the CCIS to discuss the possibilities of penetrating the Mongolian market with local partners.

The Business Forum is also being attended by representatives of companies that are already present in the Mongolian market, such as Krka and Medex, and companies that have recognised the potential for expanding their activities, such as Duol, Adventure Travel, Emr Svet, Impact Hero GMBH, Tajfun Planina and Enetra. The event is an important opportunity for presenting new possibilities of cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, smart agriculture, nutrition, digitalisation and artificial intelligence.

In her address, President Pirc Musar stressed that Slovenia is open to strengthening cooperation between the two countries, highlighting the Slovenian companies that have recognised Mongolia as a potential business partner and an opportunity to expand their international cooperation.

According to the President, we live in a rapidly changing international environment, where the topical issue is how to ensure climate, energy and food security for everyone, everywhere. "In this context, we would like to present Slovenia to foreign partners as a modern, green, innovative and creative country that is open, trustworthy, economically successful, and has a well-educated workforce," said the President, adding that "Slovenia has a strong commitment to sustainable development and is one of the world's most sustainable countries. With its two million inhabitants, it stands as a country marked by notable economic, cultural and also sporting achievements." After watching the Olympic Games, the President discovered that both Slovenia and Mongolia have outstanding female judokas.

There is also potential in the field of tourism. "Mongolia was named the tourist destination of 2024 by Lonely Planet and Slovenia. I am sure that signing the Memorandum of Understanding on tourism will create mutual benefits and deepen cooperation in this field," said the President. The memorandum in question was signed yesterday at the Government Palace by representatives of the two countries.

As part of the Business Forum, the Slovenian and Mongolian chambers of commerce also signed agreements on economic cooperation and sustainable forestry.

President Pirc Musar wished all attendees every success in their networking and business ventures in the future.
