The programme began with a magnificent performance by the Lipica Riding School in the main riding arena. Riders and the elegant white Lipica horses demonstrated exceptional harmony, a long-standing tradition, and outstanding equestrian expertise that continues to impress visitors from around the world. The performance captivated the guests and offered them an insight into Lipica’s rich heritage.
The visit continued with a tour of the stables and the special experience entitled “Meet the Lipica Horse”, which allowed guests to interact directly with these noble animals and gain a deeper understanding of their breeding and daily life. This was followed by a carriage ride through the Lipica estate, where the pleasant atmosphere and picturesque Karst landscapes provided memorable moments of socialising and relaxed conversation.
In the afternoon, the programme took the guests into the mysterious underground world of Vilenica Cave. For many of them, it was their first visit to this renowned cave. Guided by members of the Sežana Caving Society, they explored its stunning chambers adorned with stalactites and stalagmites, learned about its rich history, and discovered many of its fascinating features. The visit to Vilenica brought the day to a fitting close, offering a unique introduction to the natural and cultural treasures of the Slovenian Karst region.
The guests returned home with many pleasant impressions, lasting memories, and a new appreciation of the genuine hospitality of the Karst region.
