A Mosaic of Experience: An International Dialogue on Resilience
On Sunday, 23 August, Dr. Aleš Musar attended an event at the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, one of the holiest sites in Ukraine, which hosted the expert conference “A Mosaic of Experience: An International Dialogue on Resilience.”

At the invitation of the First Lady of Ukraine, the conference was attended by Diana Nausėdienė, First Lady of Lithuania, and Dr. Musar. More than 200 experts, researchers, representatives of government institutions, and non-governmental organizations from numerous countries discussed various dimensions of resilience
.
The central event of the conference was an international roundtable featuring experts from Estonia, Finland, Slovenia, and the United States. Among the Slovenian participants was Ms. Neža Strmole, Coordinator for International Cooperation at the Firefighting Association of Slovenia, who attended the conference in Kyiv at the invitation of Dr. Musar, together with Mr. Anže Bitenc, Assistant Commander of the Firefighting Association of Slovenia responsible for professional training.
Following the conference, Dr. Musar, together with Olena Zelenska and Diana Nausėdienė, toured the millennium-old monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Two months earlier, the monastery’s Cathedral of the Dormition had been struck by a Russian drone.
