Annual Online Meeting of the Global Platform of First Ladies and Spouses
At the regular pre-holiday online meeting, the First Ladies and spouses of heads of state reviewed activities and achievements in 2025 and outlined plans for the coming year, with a focus on cooperation and addressing global challenges through soft power and humanitarianism.

Particular appreciation was expressed for the cooperation at the September international networking event of First Ladies and spouses, held on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, as well as for the educational workshop on international diplomacy and protocol held in June in Vienna, at the Hofburg, in cooperation with the Diplomatic Academy. Additional training activities and joint international initiatives of First Ladies and spouses are also planned for 2026.
In addition to the spouse of the President of the Republic, Dr Aleš Musar, participants in the meeting included the First Lady of the Republic of Estonia, Sirje Karis; the First Lady of the Republic of Guatemala, Lucrecia Peinado; the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, as host; the Office of the First Lady of Austria, Doris Schmidauer; and the spouse of the Prime Minister of Denmark, Bo Tengberg.
