The autumn meeting of Spouses of Ambassadors, accredited to the Republic of Slovenia, took place in Gorenjska

The participants gathered in Radovljica, where they were welcomed by the spouse of the President of the Republic, Dr. Aleš Musar, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Ms. Barbara Žvokelj. This was followed by a demonstration by the Mikelj family of how to make chocolate pralines, which the guests then tasted, enjoying the flavors of Rado'lca.

The Lectar restaurant, with its 200-year tradition, presented traditional decorated honeybread cookies, the most characteristic of which are Lectar hearts . The guests then tried their hand at decorating red hearts - and did very well. Each of them took home a honeybread heart, which Lectar has been making since 1766.

The visit continued at Vila Bled, where guests were welcomed by director of JGZ Brdo Ms. Maja Križmančič. Her colleagues took them on a tour of the most interesting rooms of this former residence, from the large hall with its famous frescos by Slavko Pengov and Plečnik's candelabres, to the apartment of former Yugoslav President Tito.

This was followed by a water tasting in the Red bar, organized by the Bled Water Forum, headed by Marko Gajić, and conducted by the world's youngest water sommelier, 15-year-old Luka Oblak. The pleasant gathering ended with piano music played by the husband of the German ambassador, Mr. Tilo Schmalenberg.

The popularity of the meetings of spouses of ambassadors, accredited to the Republic of Slovenia, organized by Dr. Musar, is evident from the record attendance at this sixth event: nineteen spouses attended, the highest number to date.
