Dr. Musar Visits the Superhumans Center in Lviv

As part of ongoing support for victims of the war in Ukraine, Dr. Aleš Musar, spouse of the President of the Republic of Slovenia and a member of the ITF Board of Trustees, visited the Superhumans Center in Lviv, Ukraine, together with Mr. Tomaž Lovrenčič, Director of ITF, prior to the event at the Ivan Boberskyi State University.

Publish date Lviv, Ukraine,

During the visit, they met with patients who had lost a leg or an arm as a result of Russian attacks. Thanks to donations from Slovenia and the Republic of Korea, and soon from additional donor countries, many wounded Ukrainians have received advanced prosthetic limbs through ITF-supported assistance. Among them is Mykola (pictured), a double amputee who received two prosthetic limbs.

On this occasion, Dr. Musar, accompanied by Mr. Gašper Ferme, representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Ukraine, laid flowers at the grave of Slovenian soldiers from the First World War at Lychakiv Cemetery. More than a century ago, these soldiers lost their lives on the distant battlefields of what is now western Ukraine.

At the nearby newly established military cemetery, which already contains the graves of hundreds of fallen soldiers, he also paid tribute to the memory of Ukrainian victims of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, now in its fifth year.
