President of the Republic of Slovenia receives the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Rwanda

The President of the Republic and the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Rwanda devoted most of their discussion to current international issues. The two presidents shared similar views on the importance of joint efforts to strengthen stability and cooperation both in our regions and in the international community. They agreed that war and the use of arms can never be a solution and advocated dialogue as the main means of resolving international and bilateral challenges. President Mukabalisa briefed the President of the Republic on the situation in the region.

The two presidents also discussed gender equality, and the President expressed her support for Rwanda’s achievements in the field of women’s rights and gender equality, in particular the high level of women’s representation in parliament and government. In this context, they called for better representation of women in high positions in international institutions and their greater influence in decision-making processes.
