The President of the Republic cast her vote in the European Parliament elections and Slovenian referenda

This morning, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, cast her vote in the European Parliament elections and Slovenian referenda. She called on the citizens to cast their votes and be active members of the society.

"Slovenia has been part of the European family for 20 years. Let us be responsible and active citizens of Slovenia, responsible and active citizens of the European Union. We are Europeans. Let us co-create our common European future together," the President of the Republic posted on social media after casting her vote and called on citizens to participate in the elections and referenda.

After the results of the elections, President Pirc Musar congratulated the newly elected Members of the European Parliament. "In the next five years, you will co-create the EU and be responsible for the well-being of a community of almost half a billion people. I trust that you will carry out this mission with dignity, respect and understanding of the needs of all the people who are part of our diverse European family," she wrote.
