Newly appointed Ambassadors of Greece, Japan, Andorra and Sweden presented their credentials to the President of the Republic of Slovenia

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, accepted the letters of credence of four newly appointed ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Slovenia.

The letters of credence were presented to the President of the Republic by:

  • newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hellenic Republic Argyrios Makris,
  • newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Akiko Yoshida,
  • newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Principality of Andorra Ricard Fiter Vilajoana and
  • newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden Diana Madunic.

After the presentation of their credentials, ambassadors signed the guestbook of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, and had a conversation with President Pirc Musar. The introductory conversations were an opportunity to confirm Slovenia's good relations with Greece, Japan, Andorra and Sweden and to exchange ideas for their further upgrade.

President Pirc Musar and ambassadors also addressed current conflicts in the world and challenges in the Western Balkan region, as well as the exchange of opinions during the Republic of Slovenia's membership in the UN Security Council.
