Newly appointed Ambassadors of Albania, Saudi Arabia and Guatemala presented their credentials to the President of the Republic of Slovenia

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar, accepted the letters of credence of three newly appointed ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Republic of Slovenia.

The letters of credence were presented to the President of the Republic by:

  • newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania Oljan Kanushi,
  • newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr Abdullah bin Khaled Tawlah,
  • and newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala Jorge Skinner-Klée Arenales.

After the presentation of their credentials, ambassadors signed the guestbook of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, and had a conversation with President Pirc Musar.

They talked about the bilateral relations between Slovenia and the countries ambassadors represent, as well as the opportunities for strengthening relations, including economic. The topics of the conversation were also Slovenia's priorities in the UN Security Council in the period 2024-2025 and the current international affairs, especially the Israeli-Palestinian war. The President of the Republic advocated an immediate end to the war and an effective collection of evidence to investigate responsibility for the crimes we have been witnessing since 7 October, 2023.
